Eurovision tends to throw up some mind numbling awful songs. The sort of songs that are such an assault on your ears that you might prefer to have a spider colony nest in them instead. The sort of music, and I use that term loosely, that is an affront to human civilisation and culture. This 'song' is one such piece of crap. It's about Facebook. That should tip you off to its musical merits right away, but if you are a real masochist by all means check out the video below.
Apparently the lyrics concerning Facebook meant that the song was banned from Eurovision. Ironically not for being utter rubbish, but because it was deemed to be an advert for Facebook. Unfortunartely for those of us who value our hearing it has been reworked with different lyrics.

AT&T seem to be viewing the Lumia 900 as, in general, a handset that is selling well, popular with consumers, and a valued part of their portfolio. Indeed the handset has been reported to have sold out in many of AT&T's stores. The situation on the other side of the Atlantic is a bit different though according to Reuters ...
Unanmed sources from the four largest European newtorks have been speaking with Reuters about Nokia's Lumia 900 and what they have to say isn't very endearing. One theme that rears its head is disappointment that the Lumia 900 doesn't seem to have enough punch to compete with the likes of the iPhone or Samsung's Android handsets. One of the executives speaking with Reuters even went as far as to say:
... no one comes into the store and asks for the Windows Phone ...
He went on to suggest that the Lumia 900 would sell better if it ran Android instead. Making the handset easier to sell could also be brought about by Nokia lowering the price according to another executive. This would make the handset a loss leader, but at least the stores would be able to "... get it out of the door".
It's a strange turn of events for Nokia. Traditionally its handsets have fared better in its European homeland whilst America proved a tougher nut to crack. Apparently that dynamic has been turned on its head.

The Pew Internet & American Life Project has released some interesting new figures on internet usage in the U.S. According to Pew's numbers a full 20% of the adult population of America does not use the internet. That's actually a huge figure when you realise that it accounts for a fifth of the entire adult population, but who are these people who aren't engaged with arguably the biggest technological shift in human culture over the past hundred years?

Pew describes the groups making up this 20%:
Senior citizens, those who prefer to take our interviews in Spanish rather than English, adults with less than a high school education, and those living in households earning less than $30,000 per year are the least likely adults to have internet access.
Beyond the base number itself it is interesting to note that a full half of those not using the internet said the technology was 'irrelevant' to them. Indeed most of those respondents said they had never used the internet at all. Only 10% of those not using the internet, that's 2% of the adult population as a whole, aid that they would be interested in using the internet or email in the future.
If all of those sound s abit gloomy then at least some brighter figures emerged from those who are using the internet. Americana dults were using mobile phone sin greater numbers (88%), 57% were using a laptop, 19% were using an eReader, 19% were using a tablet device and 63% were using one of those devices to access the internet.
