First BlackBerry 10 Handset Coming Later This Year .. If You Still Care    [ 26-04-2012 18:10 ]

Author: Serge Novikov   Source: N4BB     Translation by: Paul Smith    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

Excited about RIM's first BlackBerry 10 device yet? No, neither is anyone else really, but nevertheless the company is said to be planning to unveil it come the summer. N4BB are reporting that RIM are looking at a timeframe of mid-August to introduce the new device and that an actual launch should take place a few months later in early to mid-October. Previously rumours had suggested a launch window of September for what is known as the BlackBerry London, so October fits in pretty well with that. Another BlackBerry 10 device, featuring a QWERTY keypad, is supposedly on the cards for release next year, perhaps sometime in Q1. Neither device is likely to get much of a mention, if any, at RIM's BlackBerry World event next week so don't hold your breath (as if you were anyway).

Video: Samsung Uses 'Protesters' To Picket Apple Store    [ 26-04-2012 16:11 ]

Author: Ivanov Konstantin   Source: AndroidAndMe     Translation by: Paul Smith    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

Samsung have been gunning for Apple in the advertisments of late and the most recent gambit in this strategy is a 'protest' in Australia. Ad agency 'Tongue' hired the 'protesters' to travel along to an Aple store in a large black bus. The protesters popped out of the bus waving signs saying 'Wake Up' and screaming the same chant in front of the Apple store. So why is Samsung being associated with this bizarre marketing strategy? Well Tongue created a website to accompany the protest that has a countdown to the launch of Smasung's eagerly anticipated Galaxy S III smartphone. You can check out the protest/advert in the video below, filmed by a passing Australian blogger.
