Sony Ericsson announces three new accessories for people on the move

Sony Ericsson today further enhanced its accessory portfolio with the announcement of the Advanced Car Handsfree HCA-200, the light-weight Portable Handsfree HPS-20 and the Active Case IAC-25.

The Advanced Car Handsfree HCA-200, an updated version of the earlier HCA-20, is a functional addition to Sony Ericsson’s in-car accessories product line-up. Supporting voice recognition for increased safety, this complete in-car communications solution allows drivers to concentrate on driving while receiving calls. Filtering out wind and engine noise, the sound quality of the HCA-200 makes speaking on the phone while driving a pleasure. A driver can enjoy listening to the car stereo without worrying about missing a call because when the phone rings, the stereo automatically mutes. An added bonus is that when the journey is over, the mobile phone is charged and ready for use. The Advanced Car Handsfree HCA-200 will be available end of Q2 2004.

Sony Ericsson is also introducing the light-weight Portable Handsfree HPS-20, a new handsfree solution featuring an attractive sporty design. It is perfect for people with an active lifestyle and offers an ergonomic design which rests on rather than in the user’s ear, fitting most ears snuggly to give a comfortable, hassle-free user-experience. The addition of three exchangeable Style-Up™ covers adds a stylish splash of color and allows users to personalize the HPS-20 to suit their individual style or mood. The Portable Handsfree HPS-20 will be available from the end of Q2 2004.

Specially designed for busy people with an active lifestyle, the Active Case IAC-25 offers a new carrying solution with a sporty design in stylish Silvergrey. It can be attached to the user’s arm, belt or bag for a practical and versatile carrying solution. The IAC-25 fits a wide range of phones. The Active Case IAC-25 will be available from mid-Q2 2004.

Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications AB offers mobile communications products for people who appreciate the possibilities of powerful technology. Established in 2001 by Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson and Sony Corporation, the joint venture continues to build on the success of its two innovative parent companies. Sony Ericsson creates value for its operator customers by bringing new ways of using multimedia communications while mobile. The company’s management is based in London, and has 4,000 employees across the globe working on research, development, design, sales, marketing, distribution and support.
