Posters were the only thing in Panasonic’s booth that was letting you know that the company will be releasing Symbian-smartphone X700, there were no live samples around. I believe we will have the chance to see them today. The press-releases featured a rather interesting paper about company’s plans to occupy up to 10 percent of the European market by the year 2006, sharing more attention to this market, by presenting more new models. In reality the company plans releasing more and more ODM-models, and creating niche solutions by the design factor, I believe this is rather self-confident to expect market share by such actions. G70 can be one of the examples; the model is dedicated for females. Similar model was released in the Xelibri series from Siemens not such long time ago. This model’s perspectives are rather weak, the users are not keen on design’s originality, there are certain tendencies around the market in the design aspect, and G70’s form factor doesn’t fit any of them.

The company’s various connect arts looked interesting as always, although most of them will never be released, since there are no fitting technologies on today’s market, but they definitely attracted my attention as toys.
