Haier at CeBIT2005 or pens with a phone again
Indeed, phones by Haier are recognizable at first site, especially when people get to know that thing actually is a phone. Now we talk about the line representing phones designed as modern digital dictaphones that are called pens inside the company. The device is mainly a fashion phone and looks strangely. That's curious, Nokia 7280 belongs to this class of devices but wins in the quality of the plastic, the mixture of various materials and the absence of a keypad. And the price is correspondingly higher for Nokia's device.
The P7 is equipped with an integrated VGA-camera closed with a shutter serving as a catch at the same time just like in a pen. Other characteristics seem ordinary. The phone is a trial band with 40-tones polyphonic call signal. The weight is 65 grams while the dimensions are 150x27x18.2 mm. The provided support for GPRS class 10 allows using its wap browser 2.0 comfortably. Also USB connection to a PC is supported. The screen is 65K 128x64 pixels.
In the Trendy segment the company offers its Z300. The segment represents youth style, low-end function set; these are the basic functions for little money. The device working in GSM900/1800 networks has the dimensions of 100x45x18 mm and the weight of 85 grams. The battery is 720 mAh Li-Ion providing with 6 hours of working in the talk mode and up to 350 hours in the standby mode. The cSTN screen with the resolution of 101x80 pixels shows 4096 colours. Also the phone has a 16-tones polyphony, supports EMS, WAP 1.2.1. So, the device proves to be a typical low-end solution.
The company tries to release functionally plain models but equip them with unordinary functions. The T300 is a new device of this kind. This is a typically low-end model providing the Push to Talk function. Other characteristics are rather poor:
A cheap model V190 refers to new devices equipped with a VGA-camera. This is a very plain phone and correspondingly the price is low. Here are its specs:
The V200 having a raisin of 14 mm body thickness comparable to the best examples by other manufacturers continues the line. The filling gives away a low-end model with nothing interesting and remarkable.
The V280 is represented in the model 200's body. It comes equipped with a 1.3 MP camera, but only memory size remained the same forming 4 MB, that makes null and void the presence of a camera. This is a strange product. It seems to be manufactured only to vary the model line.
Other models have the variation of a megapixel camera with various characteristics of already described phones. They have no expansion connectors or bluetooth, just plain devices for unpretentious users. So, look at the design since no practical interest may be roused.
