The Sefanatics has posted an interesting concept of Sony Ericsson P5i smartphone. The device is rumored to be on its way, however the manufacturer hasn’t made any official confirmation or provided official images. Taking into account (unconfirmed) info on an upcoming user’s interface UIQ (UIQ 4?) with figer control, the concept looks like to be true. It is equipped with a big display and has no keyboard. Most likely the mysterious Sony Ericsson P5i will be of this kind.

The site of the American operator Sprint has posted a peculiar picture of Motorola Q2 smartphone with Palm OS icon on the screen. Reportedly, the device will be released by the operator very soon. It’s not yet clear whether Motorola really expects to launch the device running on Palm OS instead of Windows Mobile. Probably this is just designer’s mistake, who simply didn’t paid proper attention to this little fact. Anyway soon there will be an official announcement and the puzzle will be solved.

The Chinese-language Commercial Times quoted the report made by HTC CEO Peter Chou at the meeting with investors – HTC expects its revenues to increase more than 20% in 2008 due to the launch of 2-3 Android-based handsets. This platform is based on the Linux-core and it was developed by Open Handset Alliance, which has such member as Google and 30 mobile industry leaders.
In addition Peter Chou mentioned the upcoming release of a non-Qualcomm 3G solution and the new user’s interface, which is better than the TouchFLO technology. The source says that the company plans to release WiMAX/TD-WCDMA mobile devices by the end of 2008 or beginning of 2009.
