Video: Real Racing 2 for iPhone 4S Graphics & Split Screen Gameplay Shown Off    [ 07-10-2011 16:51 ]

The video below is interesting for two reasons. First of all it shows off the graphics capabilities of the new iPhone 4S, in this case running Real Racing 2. That's interesting of course and from the short clip the graphics do look pretty sweet. However, arguably of more interest, is the fact that the game is taking advantage of the iPhone 4S' AirPlay feature to play the game on a big screen, but with three additional players. The games' 'Party Play' feature splits the screen into four as four separate players, suing four separate iOS devices, in this case including an iPad 2, compete against one another.

Even though the Nexus Prime aka the Samsung Galaxy Nexus will not be launching at Google's Unpacked event on Tuesday as was widely expected a new video purporting to show the handset appeared on the tubes today. This will just have to be enough to tide Nexus prime fans over until the handset eventually does launch.

Nexus Prime & IceCream Sandwich Delayed    [ 07-10-2011 16:05 ]

Author: Ivanov Konstantin   Source: via Engadget     Translation by: Paul Smith    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

Some disappointing news for Nexus Prime fans today as both Google and Samsung announce that the handset will not be launched at the Unpacked event on 11th October i.e. Tuesday. It's also the case that IceCream Sandwich, Google's next version of Android won't be launched at the event either. It's not clear what the reason for the delay is exactly, but hopefully it won't be too much longer.

The news came in a joint announcement from the two companies:

Samsung and Google decide to postpone the new product announcement at CTIA Fall. We agree that is is just not the right time to announce a new product. New date and venue will be shortly announced.
