Review bluetooth headset HCB-02/Zukz
Many similar devices with different names appear in the market. That is mainly caused by marketing reasons, release of ODM-products or some thoughts of the manufacturer or distributor. And now we deal with a headset called HCB-02 that is promoted by Crayton Electronics in the USA market under the name of Zukz. The original father of the headset is a Taiwanese company HuiQiao.
The construction is traditional for similar devices with a 170 mAh Li-Pol battery in the behind-the-ear part. The module is quite large due to that fact and the manufacturer accounts it will be better fixed because of that. The headset weights 22 grams and that is typical for headsets. The main mass is placed on the behind-the-ear part and that's why the load is distributed and you don't feel uncomfortable when carrying it for long. The headset is possible to carry on the left and on the right.
There is an indicator placed on the main module. It shines with blue or red depending on the working mode. And a Call/End call button is also here. An On button is on the side surface and a charger connector is near it. A standard battery charger and a car charger are included into the package. And two volume buttons are on the other side.
The quality of connection is typical for the devices of this class and is not bad indoors though troublesome outdoors if the noise level is higher than average. According to the manufacturer the headset works for about 120 hours in the standby mode and about 3 hours in the talk mode. We discovered the headset worked for a day in case of about one hour of talks, and about two days with 20-25 minutes of talks. Coupling makes no problems.
Speaking about HCB-02 we may say that is a typical device without any evident problems and a typical functionality. The price is about 50-60 USD and depends on the country. You can buy the headset reasoning on the design or its price. And nothing more can be told about the headset.
