Print this reviewReview Sendo J530
This model is a successor of a phone line from Sendo and has many features typical to these phones. This model greatly resembles Sendo S230. Here we'll describe only the main differences of these phones, if you don’t know what Sendo S230 is, read this review. The first difference is dimmer backlighting, we thought that it was the peculiarity of our sample, but many European users said that they also had the same problem.
Phone dimensions are compatible with the older model (107x50x25 mm), but it weighs only 75 grams. J530 is lighter than the previous model because it is equipped with lithium-ion battery of 600 mAh capacity. By the way, the autonomy didn’t change. He phone worked about 4 days in case of 30 minutes of talking (Beeline netwrok). According to a manufacturer the phone has 120-230 hours of standby time and 2-3 hours of talktime. Time of full re-charging is less than 2 hours. This model has a handier alphanumerical keys and soft-keys, it is pleasant to use them. Among new functions we can notice 20 voice tags for voice dialing. Recognition works correctly in quite places, but in noisy places (even in the streets) it often fails. The phone doesn’t have own phonebook, what is rather a big shortcoming. Up to 60 seconds of voice memo recrding is available, the dictaphone can operate in both stand-by and talking modes. Unfortunately, only one record is possible, an old message is removed automatically when the dictaphone is activated. An access to voice memo function can be get through the menu “Messages”. ![]()
In Extra menu a new menu item – Organiser, is appeared. Days are displayed as a list, you can choose a necessary one and set alarm-clock. There is no possibility to input a text; all capabilities are very ascetic. Pay attention that pressing Back key will remove a viewed event. ![]()
That is all about phones differences. This model has all advantages and disadvantage of the older phone, all changes are not considerable to pay for them. The phone costs about 135 Euro in Europe. Other manufacturers offer more advanced phones in this price range. Sendo J530 loses almost to all of them by all features except design ones. Eldar Murtazin (eldar@mobile-review.com)
