Samsung Electronics has expanded the Samsung Q1 Ultra UMPC lineup with 3 new models powered by Windows XP Tablet Edition – Q1U-SSDXP, Q1U-ELXP and Q1U-XP. Like the predecessor they come with a 7” touch sensitive widescreen display and a QWERTY-keyboard, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g and Bluetooth 2.0+EDR.


The Q1U-ELXP is based on Intel A100 600 MHz processor and 40 GB HDD. It is listed for $999. The Q1U-XP is powered by Intel A110 800 MHz processor, 60 GB HDD and offered for $1149. And the Q1U-SSDXP features Intel A110 800 MHz processor, 32-GB NAND-flash drive. The price tag is $1649.

Creative Technology has unveiled a new portable media player Creative ZEN. This credit card sized device can play music, video and run images. It is available in 4, 8 and 16GB versions. According to the manufacturer, this will become the first Creative player supporting AAC, iTunes Plus DRM-free in addition to traditional MP3 and WMA. The new Creative Zen will be rolled out in Singapore in September. The approximate price makes up $163 for the 4GB model, $229 for 8GB and $327 for 16GB.

Today Nokia officially announced an 8GB model of the best multimedia smartphone Nokia N95, which it says got even better.

Today at Go Play event Nokia introduced Nokia N81 smartphone. It is optimized for entertainment, music and games and features thus dedicated control buttons, larger memory size, a large and bright display and enhanced battery. This is a slider offered in two modifications: Nokia N81 and Nokia N81 8GB.



Nokia says the user can quickly access content of 3D multimedia menu due to new design and buttons backlit at push. Nokia N81 is tuned for search, buy, control and playback of music and games via Nokia Music Store and N-Gage services. The shipments of Nokia N81 and Nokia N81 8GB are scheduled for 4Q 2007, available colors will be Cobalt Blue and Graphite Grey.
