In the web you can find live pictures of HTC Polaris communicator. Some sources have already provided preliminary info about the device, it was rumored to be unveiled during HTC’s announcement last week. I’d remind you that HTC Polaris is a successor to HTC P3300 (HTC Artemis) resembling it in design, but featuring more advanced specs. The communicator is powered by Windows Mobile 6 Professional and works in GSM/GPRS/EDGE and UMTS/HSDPA. The source speculates that the new communicator comes with Wi-Fi b/g and Bluetooth wireless modules, an FM-radio, a 3-megapixel camera, a microSD slot and GPS and A-GPS support. Most likely HTC Polaris will have a frontal camera.
Early rumors suggested that HTC Polaris will have a VGA screen resolution, but now the source reports about a QVGA only. In addition the communicator will be probably operated by TouchFLO interface. The release is rumored to take place in October. It’s not clear whether it is true, the manufacturer hasn’t provided such info. At least we know the device really exists and it might be around the corner.
